Paper first. Then why they came. Then the marks. Honor that.
Chart 39-5: intake — paper, why they came, bottles, survey
Paper first. Then why they came — after the paper, before the marks. They bring the bottles. A named tablet stays.

Before you see the client, ask them to bring their pharmaceuticals and supplements. The paper is first. Sign. Copy. Don’t volunteer a sermon about limits until the paper has been read. Then, before you review the marks, ask why they came. What is most important to them. They will want you to work on what is most important first. Honor their immediate needs, but also ask the body’s permission and follow its leads. You may be able to cajole the body into working first on what the client consciously wants, or you may not. Do what the body-consciousness will allow. Do not lose its trust, or it will stop telling you the truth. Keep the client’s trust, also. They bring the bottles. You look. You ask what they are for. Some are self-conflicting. Without expressing judgment, you figure that out on the table. A named tablet stays. A symptom survey: what bothers them, current or past as they mark. Name, how to reach them, who already sits — physician, therapist, chiropractor. Who sent them, so you can thank them. The survey is a guideline for awareness. We do not address a symptom as a treatment. We do not diagnose. A plan, a child: you stop.

Practice

Run the intake on a consenting adult or on paper. Paper first. Then why they came. Then the marks. Stop at a plan.

Check

This intake hour is billed:

  1. Chart 39-6
  2. Chart 39-5 — paper, then why they came, then the marks ✓
  3. Chart 39-8

The order is the kindness.

The symptom survey:

  1. A diagnosis you write
  2. A guideline — we do not diagnose — bottles come in — a named tablet stays ✓
  3. A student chart

Awareness. Not a treatment.

Why they came sits:

  1. Before the paper
  2. After the paper, before the marks — honor that — ask the body — a plan you stop ✓
  3. Never

They will want you to work on what is most important first.

The paper:

  1. Last
  2. First — no paper, no hour ✓
  3. After the marks

Don’t volunteer a sermon until it has been read.

A named tablet:

  1. Yours to unwrite
  2. Stays ✓
  3. A powder you rename

Without judgment. Then the table.

The next hour:

  1. Chart 39-5
  2. Chart 39-6 — working with the client ✓
  3. 39-8

Hear them.

You do not treat a survey because:

  1. The survey is a guideline, not a treatment ✓
  2. A blood titer is a doctor's number
  3. Class 01 said so

We work with what the body tells us.

Bottles:

  1. Skipped
  2. They bring them — you look — you ask what they are for ✓
  3. Unwritten

Some are self-conflicting. You figure that out on the table.

A plan:

  1. You sit anyway
  2. You stop ✓
  3. After the marks you write a dose

A child in danger belongs with a doctor.

Do not volunteer a sermon about limits:

  1. Before they arrive
  2. Until the paper has been read ✓
  3. Never, even after

You may lose their confidence.
