Lub and dub
A read of this page, with the plate.

The rooms. Atria wait. Ventricles squeeze. Tricuspid on the right. Mitral on the left. Lub is the first sound: AV valves close as systole begins. Dub is the second: semilunar valves close at the end of systole. Right side to the lungs. Left side to the body. The left wall is thicker. Chest pain, a collapse: you stop.
Practice
Name waiting rooms, power rooms, lub, dub. Keep left to the body. If the chest is pressure, you stop.
Check
The thicker wall is taught as:
- The right — as the outline wrote
- The left — Ari revises; it pumps to the body ✓
- Both equal so a dose you write looks tidy
Keep the map.
Lub on this hour is:
- Ventricular filling — atria finish the last third
- AV valves closing as systole begins — first sound ✓
- Semilunar closing
S1. Filling is not this sound.
Dub on this hour is:
- AV valves closing
- Semilunar valves closing at the end of systole — second sound ✓
- Filling
S2. Not both closures on one board.
Tricuspid sits:
- Left, two flaps
- Right, three flaps — body-blood into the right power room ✓
- On the aorta
That's the work.
Mitral sits:
- Right, three flaps
- Left, two flaps — lung-blood into the left power room ✓
- On the cava
That's the work.
Waiting rooms are:
- Ventricles
- Atria — upper ✓
- Baroreceptors
Blood waits.
Power rooms are:
- Atria
- Ventricles — the squeeze ✓
- The intima
That's the work.
Systole is:
- The rest
- The squeeze ✓
- Filling
Diastole is the rest.
If the chest is pressure on lub-dub:
- You prescribe taurine
- You stop ✓
- You wait for the artery hour
The stop.
Right ventricle pumps:
- To the body
- To the lungs ✓
- To the ileum
Keep the map.
